Pack 226 Webelo II's had a great time this past weekend camping with Boy Scout Troop 101 from Warren, Ohio. They invited us to the Beaumont Scout Reservation for two nights of camping, food and fun. The Scouts made a Signal Tower and a Monkey Bridge. Highlights included pie baking contest in dutch ovens, capture the flag, turkey on a tripod and the weather was superb!

The history of YOUR Council is now available.This is a book that several "more experienced" Scouters have been working on since the year 2000. The book covers the origin of the Mahoning Valley Council, the Northeast Ohio Council, and the Western Reserve Council through the merge into the Greater Western Reserve Council and up to the year 2000. It has been an extremely interesting project; I have learned a lot while putting this book together. I hope to print updates to this original edition in the future; get the first edition while it is available.

A BSA Centennial Celebration

WHAT: 100 Year Celebration of the BSA
WHEN: April 30 - May 2, 2010 – Registration Deadline April 13, 2010

From May 26th through September 4th, the administrative offices and Scout Shop will be open Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Scout Shop will be open Saturday, June 13th, 8:00 AM to noon for a special sale.

The Council Service Center will be closed Friday, July 3rd and Monday, September 7th in observance of the Fourth of July and Labor Day holidays, respectively.
