The twelfth point of the Scout Law is Reverent — and at Pack 226, it isn’t last on the list by importance. As a ministry of St. Michael Catholic Church, everything we do points our boys toward their duty to God: in the Oath they recite, the emblems they earn, and the way they serve their parish.

Awards that grow with your son’s faith
Catholic religious emblems are earned through a family-centered program of activities, prayer, and reflection — then worn proudly on the uniform. Pack 226 supports two Cub Scout–age emblems:
Light of Christ (Lumen Christi)
Ages 6–7 · Tiger & Wolf Scouts
Helps young boys come to know Jesus as a real person, a loving friend, and the center of Christian life — completed at home, together with a parent.
Parvuli Dei
Ages 8–10 · Bear, Webelos & Arrow of Light Scouts
“Children of God” — helps older Cub Scouts explore the wonders of God’s world, their Catholic community, and their own growing faith.

Serve at the altar
We encourage our boys to serve as altar servers at St. Michael — bringing them physically closer to the altar, and spiritually closer to God. Altar serving pairs naturally with the reverence Scouting teaches.
Scout Sunday
Once a year our Scouts attend Mass together in uniform, are recognized by the parish, and give thanks for the gift of Scouting. It’s one of the proudest mornings on our calendar.
Serve the parish
From helping in the St. Michael garden to supporting parish events and drives, our pack looks for ways to put “helpful” and “reverent” into practice — together, as families.
Scouting alongside the sacraments — not instead of them
Pack 226 is designed to complement your son’s faith formation at St. Michael, not replace it. We encourage every family to continue religious education through the parish while participating in Scout programming. The two reinforce each other: what a boy learns in the classroom about his faith, he practices on the trail, at the derby track, and in service to others.
